Preventing a Future Without Elephants

We are really proud to have raised over £25,000 in our first Buy To Give Collaboration with The London Chatter in 2016-2017.

We launched The Tembo Collection, seven bracelets designed in collaboration with The London Chatter (AKA Kelly Eastwood) to raise awareness and funds for the rangers on the front line of the battle to save Africa's elephants – 100% of the profits were donated to For Rangers in conjunction with Tusk.

Inspired by traditional Maasai bead jewellery, each bracelet in the Tembo (Swahili for elephant) collection was textured to evoke this style and featured an iconic tusk as a reminder of this important cause. The Satao and Pembe bracelets were engravable for something truly personal.

In Africa, an elephant is killed for their ivory every 15 minutes – For Rangers provides direct support for those fighting the crisis right now. By buying and wearing a Tembo bracelet, this meant not only getting to own a beautiful, tactile piece of jewellery, but also helped the fight against Elephant poaching.

DESIGNED WITH
THE LONDON CHATTER

Having long admired her colourful style and love of travel, we loved every part of collaborating with leading fashion and lifestyle blogger Kelly Eastwood on this collection.

Raised in Kenya (her grandparents moved there in the 1920s), Kelly is all too aware of the devastating effects of the illegal wildlife trade and the urgent plight of the elephant. Which is why Kelly has been working with Auree to design the Tembo Collection and raise awareness and importantly money to support Rangers, a cause close to her heart.

100% of Profits to

For Rangers & Tusk

“The statistics are unbearable, over a thousand rangers have been killed in the line of duty since 2003. By joining forces with Auree Jewellery and The London Chatter we hope to make a difference, raising funds to ensure that rangers are enabled with good-quality equipment, training and general welfare, including support for the families of rangers killed or injured in the line of duty. These are the men that are risking their lives to save Africa’s iconic species – it is dangerous, tough and thankless work and we must do all we can to help them.”

Sam Taylor, Chief Conservation Officer on Borana Conservancy, Kenya and Founder of For Rangers.

Any excuse for one of these pretty bracelets, but we do love a charity collaboration where all profits go to a great cause. Designed by blogger Kelly Eastwood (aka The London Chatter, but who originally hails from Kenya) and Auree Jewellery, these pieces will raise funds for the rangers who work around the clock to protect elephants and rhinos from poachers. More than 1,000 rangers have lost their lives while on duty and, unfathomably in 2016, an elephant is killed every 15 minutes – we think it’s a cause worth supporting.

Need a pretty gift? Look no further than these Tembo 18ct gold and rose gold vermeil and sterling silver single-strand bracelets, part of a collaboration by the affordable British jeweller Auree and the lifestyle blogger Kelly Eastwood. Even better, when you buy one, 100% of the profits will be donated to For Rangers in conjunction with Tusk. There's been a surge in support for Africa's endangered wildlife of late - Prince William made a speech for Tusk last month, while celebrities have been tying a knot on Instagram, as part of the #knotonmyplanetcampaign to end the slaughter of elephants. The collection launches on October 4 - World Animal Day - so you can do your bit, too.
